This past Wednesday was great. Worship was really awesome and powerful and it set the atmosphere for a good service! Pastor Tommy talked about the World Wide Web of Lies. His sermon focused on teens using the internet and how it can be a negative influence on us. He also talked about how the way we set our Facebook and MySpace can show who we are, or who we want to be. Having a MySpace or Facebook isn’t bad, it’s just the way you convey yourself!
Luke 10:3 says-Go now, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.
Remember that there are a lot of people out there that will make fun of you, or who will not respect you for your values and opinions on God. But no matter what show them God’s love and remember that we are supposed to be good examples of what and who God is!

That’s a great scripture for us all to remember. It really gives us a visual for what we are up against. Thanks for sharing it. Pastor Tommy’s message again spoke to what is a big part of all of our lives–adults AND kids. We’re praying that the Lord will really use the things that you are putting on your Facebooks and MySpaces to point people to Jesus. It might be things you say about Him directly, or even just through the everyday things you post. It will somehow be different from everything else that is out there, and through it and Jesus will be lifted up and glorified.
Persevere in what you are doing because even if it seems like people make fun of you or don’t respect you because of your faith, underneath it all, it is making a difference. God works in ways we cannot see.
