IMG_1616Well to kick off our 6th day in Turks and Caicos, some of us morning risers went to the beach at 6:00 AM to pray and spend time with God. Soon after that, we did an assembly at a Primary School. To start it all the team members performed “Jump”, and then Kris and his gang did the doctor skit, which was hilarious. Tyler and Troy both did awesome as they shared their testimonies to the students. We didn’t have props to do “Set Me Free”, so instead Deanna’s team did “Everything”. I(Jourdan) tasted my lips after the drama and realized that they were salty from all the sweat..:)..in which Shayna made fun of. The school bell initiated that the kids had to go back to class to take exams. Some of us went to talk to 6th graders going into high school and some went to the 4 and 5 year old rooms. We prayed with the 6th graders, to stay active in Christ and not to give into temptations. The group that went to the youngins room, just played and had a good time with them.

After going to the school, we left to get lunch back at the hotel. First, we played the toothpick game in the pool where you grab the toothpick when it rises to the top of the pool. Aaron Stewart, Brooke Sheesly, and Jourdan Alioth with her inner Rich Alioth destroyed everyone else. Tucker did not stick with me there(i’m Zach). After a wonderful lunch, most of us went to the windy beach. Once everyone dribbled in from the beach, everyone galloped onto the churcheth. There we prayed for about an hour, did devotions, and worshiped. Then we hopped onto the bus to the sport center.

IMG_1878Since yesterday, the size of the attendees tripled (not doubled as previously thought. The cheerleaders pranced around. The basketballers dribbled like glamourous swans in the middle of a beautiful cliffside lake. The soccer players waddled around and kicked around balls. Each person has their own huddle groups so we can build more relationships with the young cherubs. The cheerleaders finished the basics of their routine. The soccer players did more fun drills and shot at Kris McNaney. He and Tyler Gay are doing an exquisite job in leading the young ones. The basketball players played a game. All the leaders against the kids. My (Zach) group got wrecked because the other team had a certain someone named Trevalon. This kid can play.

“I miss all of you! Miss you daddy..see you in 4 days!! Keep us in your prayers.” –Jourdan
“To my family, stay strong. It must be hard without me there. Adam, make sure to feed the naked things, in my house, poison because I don’t want to see them once I return” –Zach
“Kari Kopac! Thanks for all of your wonderful messages to all of us! I love you chica!” –Shayna

I must be the only one staying up late to read the news of the day. I’m the first one to post again…sweet.

Maddie, it was nice to finally see your face in a photo! I’ve seen alot of the side and back of your head. I hope you got the hug from Mrs. Webb that I asked her to give you from me. Anyway, why is it that everyone else has been on facebook but not you? I’ve been dying to hear about your plane ride. It’s about 20 minutes after midnight, so I can officially say 1 week til braces!

I hope you have touched and changed many young lives and I hope this experience has changed you. I hope you are growing closer to God. It must be so wonderful to be spending so much time with Him! Your relationship with Him is the most important relationship you will ever have. It will mold all of the other relationships in your life.

I think Valerie might stay over Saturday night so me and daddy can both pick you up. If she can’t come, I think I’ll let daddy come and get you since he didn’t get to see you off. Continue to have a wonderful time. We miss you and love you so very much. You are beautiful both on the inside and out.

    Big Hugs!
    Mom

Shayna, It sounds like you guys are haveing a really good time. I bet the week is moving along quickly for you. At least some of us make it to the beach this year. Everyone has been reading the web pages every day. We can’t wait to see all your pictures . We miss you.

    Love,
    Mom

Hey guys. this will be my second time commenting today! haha

wow tripled in size! isn’t it just so amazing how God works. We had a great prayer time for all of you today at drama practice (where we learned the first part of Jai Ho. Jimmy was trying to Shimmy and it was funny) anyways i miss all of you like crazy but am very happy to hear about what God is doing in each and every single one of your lives. Remember its your lives that will be changed the most. I hope that your next day at the camp will be 6x as many as it was when you started. God has the power to make it happen! Keep up the good work and we will keep up the praying. :)

  4. Oh, I love the smiling faces of the kids watching the dramas! It makes me think of the testimony of Doris Van Stone. Students like you visited her orphanage and told her and the other kids that Jesus loves her. Even though her parents had abandoned her and she suffered many hardships as she grew up, she never forgot the Gospel that was shared with her as a little girl. She grew up to be a great missionary.

We may never find out what wonderful things the Lord will do in the lives of these kids as they grow up, but we know that it will be very special.

You all look great in your uniforms, and it’s nice to have a picture of the whole team together. The joy of the Lord is very evident in your faces.

Great blessings to all of you!
    Love,
    Mr. and Mrs. Danielewicz

Greetings from Dillsburg! Cheerleaders prancing, basketball players like glamorous swans, soccer players waddling – you’d think somebody down there was related to an English teacher. He will be so proud! It was great to see the Team picture. Sam, guess we’ll have to photoshop you in. There’s space between P. Jeff and Nick for you. Evan, you look like you’ve been using your sunscreen. Guess the SPF was high enough! Hope you’re enjoying the food down there, especially since there’s been a lot of chicken. Remember, they’re not really related to you! It sounds like you guys are really allowing God to use you. It’s hard to believe you only have 2 full days left, but we know you’ll do even more awesome things for the Lord in the time you have left. Can’t wait to see you, hug you, and hear all about it – after you sleep, of course! We love you and are constantly praying for you all! Mom (& Dad) Brubaker

Wow! A post from Z-Diddy and Jourdan! I think Zach might have had something to do with the soccer players waddling comment, but you never know. Little joke between him, Tyler and Adam. Zach, I am so sorry that you were not channeling your inner Tucker. Somehow, you got stuck with your inner Lisa. Again, so sorry about that. And it ain’t (yeah, I know, not a word) changing anytime soon. But at least you have a reminder of Rich there!
And because of that feeding poison to the naked cats comment, I think you might be picking up a few new chores when you come home! Mwahahaha! And just remember: They watch while you sleep.
We love you guys! I told Tucker last night about the pool party, and he was a little shocked that I offered. But, if we can pull it off, it’s ON!!! We’ll work out details when you get back. We have plenty of room to set up volley ball nets and other stuff you youngins do today also, so think about it.
    Praying for you!
    Mama and Papa Fergs

Wow Zatch and Jourdan what creative writing skills you have (kinda reminded me of the twelve days of Christmas song)! I love reading about everything thing that is going on! It’s so exciting to hear how God is working in you all and through you all!! Love the sense of humor too! Hey Zatch! I think we should have the pool party at your house Sat nite/Sun morning right after you all get back to the church and we can just have “church” at your house and all you kids can do the service!! Who needs sleep1 We’ll all be too excited to sleep any how!!!

Kenzi! Hey!!!! I’m sad for you that your trip is almost over but I’m getting more and more anxious for you to come home! Can’t wait to see you! Hugs to everyone! Zatch, Tyler, Ellie, Rachel, Brandi, Kyle, Kenzi!!! Group hug! Oh by the way Kenzi! Ashley, Sarah and Erica just left for the Fray concert. In know you wanted to go, but you can catch a concert anytime, but not a trip to share the good news of God’s love in such a beautiful place to such beautiful people!! Be Blessed!

YAY!!! Thanks Deanna for the shout out tonight. It made me super happy!!!
I was glad to see you guys were doing well.
I know that this is the part of the trip where tiredness begins to become more apparent.
I found a verse that might help you perservere through it.

Romans 12:11-13 (The Message)–”Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality.”

I hope that helps and maybe inspires some of you.
If you are tired, just remember that this is all for God.
So just push through the tiredness and let these last few days be the best days.

Deanna, Scarlet is on my lap while I’m typing this and she says Hi! D, I love you so much!! Thanks again for the shout out! Continue to do great things for God. I miss you!!
Kyle, I miss ya bud!!! I hope your first trip is still going well!! I love you lots!!!!
And to everyone else, it was great to see your beautiful faces tonight. Keep up the good work! The people of Turk need you!!
I love you all and I miss you guys too!

    Much love,
    Miranda =)

Hey Brandy – Pappy wrote a poem for you….so here it is. We love you!! Mom, Dad, Nick, Joey, and Pappy

This is a story of Brandy Autumn,

Of the devil’s imps, and how she fought em’,

A missions trip is what she took,

To taunt the devil; the one she forsook.

She sings the songs of the Christian story,

And acts in plays that gives God glory.

Its a testimony to the country she’s in,

Of God’s great love that forgives their sin.

By these acts of her’s, Satan was defeated,

    Mission accomplished, Mission Trip completed.

Thank you for the shout out Shayna that made my day and it was nice to see all your smiling faces on the skype thing today at church. PTommy did a great job, by the way. I honestly miss all of you so much, but it’s always nice to hear the awesome things God is doing in Turks each and everyday and the way he is using you guys. We’ve been praying for all of you and know that God is using you all in a mighty way. Tomorrow we head to the Jersey Shore, then back Saturday night to meet at CLA for the grand reunion. Miss you, Jourdan! Love, Dad (a.k.a. “inner voice”)
