so kris and deanna are bloggin on this one. not dating…… last night we had some hardcore glow-in-the-dark beach frisbee, and when i say hardcore… i mean it… lyle jobe…… anyways… so this morning the team visited two elementary schools. Basically the story goes as follows: our bus driver is Hatian, not hatin’, and only speaks Creol, for real. His boss and our main trip coordinator dont speak Creol and therefore cannot communicate properly. So presents the problem of our morning… We arrived fifteen minutes late to the first school, which ended up being the completely wrong place. But despite the setbacks, we had great programs with some of the cutest kids after finding the school of correctness. A lot of our students had the chance to share their testimonies and others who have yet to share it are excited to have the opportunity to share God’s messages.
after this, we ended up back at the church practicing for our first Mega Sports Camp later on. during this, we blew up 1,947 soccer balls, basketballs, and cheerleading… balls? once we got everything organized, we headed up to the mega sports center. each one of us split into our groups and got to know ten to twenty kids. they had tons of energy and were very “presh”. overall, the first day of sports camp was a success 
after a tiring day, we dribbled back and relaxed and read some of the wonderful comments you guys have been sending us. we always look forward to those at the end of the day. keep it up. on that note, leah almost threw up via the sighting of a cockroach tonight. oh and this place has lizards galore runnin around here all de time. deanna has 87 bites via the bugs and counting.

Kristoph — thanks for your words; we are HAPPY to hear from you and that despite some little glitches along the way you are having an amazing time. Looks like you are having fun being with the kids and that you used your sunscreen–hurray! Definitely YES on the tater tot casserole and I hid some p.b./choc. fudge from daddy (in the freezer) for you when you return. We are trusting God for great things to happen during your sports camps this week–He has been so faithful to you and we continue to thank Him for your willingness to serve Him. -hey this is austin umm.. tyler i wish you had your phone with you so i could talk to you a lot more while you are gone but i guess this is the only way. and when you get home your gunna mow the lawn a couple of times since i had to while you are gone. and you also get to get out of some house work which you should be thankful for. dad was glad to see you got over your schooling in basketball by allowing two of the opposing team members to sit on your lap. hes also proud of the whole team and is praying for them. now i say hey to racheal mackenzie tyler and zach!! and tyler when you get home you can come to the basketball camp im going to so you can learn the right skills for the sport. haha. and make sure you use sun screen cause we got a native back from florida who failed to use hers! brayden says hi and i hope you come back soon and i saw transformers and im watching starwars the clone wars right now and i hope your having a good time and i wish you were hear so i didnt have to go to austins baseball games every night untill you return.

First of all – dearest adults – WOW! INCREDIBLE! – I so wish I was with you as you get to work with OUR kids and watch them working with others! I can’t imagine the honor it must be to be able to watch growth happen before your eyes! Ingrid – has anyone mistaken you for one of the kids yet?
How’s Lyle’s driving skills? Did he get the chance to test them yet? And SHERRY – GIRL!!! Man – I can’t WAIT for the stories! PJeff – PJon – prayers for you brothers – and blessings for leading this crew!! Sam & Delia & Brandon – you seem slightly stuck in the middle between youth and adult – that is NOT an insult – that is an incredible place to be! “Sam I Am” – keep doing your picture thing – you know I love your work! Keep your eyes open and REALLY SEE what is happening around you – it’s a beautiful thing!
And secondly – Youth Team – I don’t even know if words can express the range of emotion I feel as I see your faces in photos, as I see the work you are doing, as I hear the words you write – they make me laugh mostly – but underneath that all – I get choked up seeing you all standing at this place of honor in your life. God has you exactly where He wants you – FOR THIS MOMENT IN TIME – He is using you to make a difference in more places than just Turk/Caicos.
Sure – you are making a difference in the lives of those you will never see again perhaps – but look around you…
You are making a difference in the lives of those you stand NEXT TO – EVERYDAY people whose lives are changed because of WHO YOU ARE.
Aaron – I cannot believe you are the same little squirt I first met on a beach trip with your momma – I am so unbelievable proud of the man you are becoming – from the first time you stood up and spoke your “stuff” in a room full of adults at Bridges – to the things I hear you say today – you are a wonderful leader in training and mentor – and I am honored God chose you to help mentor Nick.
My Nick – it was a long and hard road that got you to this place. Take every moment you have and put yourself into it with all that you have in you. Be honest. Be real. Be open. May God pour his Spirit on you in ways neither of us can even imagine… may you dream your dreams and see your visions – and we will see what God will do…
