Hey it’s Leah and Ellie blogging tonight! This morning a couple of us got up at 6 AM to go to the beach. I still can’t believe how God created such beautiful things. We all ate breakfast and headed out around 8 AM to a Christian school for younger kids. They’re the cutest things in the whole entire world. After that we took a while to go souvenir shopping! Let me just say, it’s hard to pick out things in order for people to like it. And bargaining is very difficult for some people and very hilarious for other people. haha. Words coming from Brandy, “first you have to make them laugh, then you have to be nice, then you have to act like you want it reallllly bad, then you have to say you still need money for lunch or you have to support your family and finally you say your walking away.”
It was extremely hot so the air conditioned bus felt so good! So after shopping we had about 3 hours to just hang out and eat. We had some pizza and then went to the beach for most likely the last time. When we went to the beach Rachel thought she saw a shark so she screamed but it turned out there were 2 dolphins! Pastor John followed them and pet one’s belly but then it bit him and he flipped out. The dolphin’s name was JoJo and the natives know him for acting like he wants to be pet and then biting tourists. Most of us looked like lobsters from all the sun we got today. Especially P. John and Troy but Leah didn’t at all! Next we went to the Sports Camp to set up. We had a little less kids then yesterday but it’s only because they had graduation today and the there were bus problems. Everything was a lot more organized today and we did a couple dramas for them. We ate dinner on the field and tragically found out the Michael Jackson died today and Jason Jobe was and still is very depressed and needs Devin to comfort him in his time of need. Speaking of the Jobe’s, they’re anniversary is today! So happy anniversary to them.
We were all real tired but we still had another service to do. This church was outside in a parking lot but the area doesn’t matter because these people were excited for God and you could just feel His presence there. It was a good and powerful service and we all prayed for each other. It was awesome.
Finally we headed back to the hotel and now I’m here blogging with Ellie! Tomorrow’s going to be a good day. It’s our last ministry day and our last day of Sports Camp also. It’s going to be sad to say goodbye but I think we left hope with them and Jesus will stay with them. Keep praying for us and that’ll be enough. We’ll be back soon! We love all you guys so much!
Much love,
Leah and Ellie
Now I’m done. haha!

We are excited for what God is doing through all of you this week, and this may be the start of ministries for many of you. However it is obvious that Pastor John is not meant to minister to fish.
How great to see another group picture – wow, Sam, it’s nice to see your face in front of the camera instead of behind it!. You all look so pitiful and sad, though. I guess it’s because you know soon your work is done and you’ll have to return from an island paradise to good old PA. We can’t wait to see you all and are praying that you’ll finish strong!! Love you Evan (and adopted sons too). See you soon! Love, Mom
Thanks for sharing more beautiful pics! I agree with Mrs. Brubaker. It is apparent that you are feeling sad about being near the end of the trip–probably something you will feel at many times in life as you go through different beginnings and good-byes.
The wonderful thing about being a Christian, though, is as you said, Jesus stays with those we must leave, and he stays with us. It is wonderful to have friends all over the world, too. You never know when your paths may cross again. And when Jesus comes back for us we will be together forever with him.
“Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18
It has been wonderful to read all of your messages
Your words are so encouraging!
We love you and are praying for you!
You guys are doing great! I hope you took the time to watch a sunset.
It is sad to hear about Michael Jackson but remember what Ecclesiastes 3:2 says …….
” a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,” (NIV)
This is why what you are doing is so important.
Love you all, see ya soon.
I was so happy when I noticed the letter from Ellie and Leah. . . . Awesome Job! Of course you blessed my socks off. Everyone is asking about the trip and how you are fairin? It is so great to give a report. Love this modern technology. Well, the Eschbachs are ready to have Ellie back – it’s too quiet. Ellie, you bring alot to the table around here; your funny faces, loud laughter and all your funnies about commercials, especially your wild sense of humor. . . . U R Missed! Can’t wait till Saturday Night; Close this chapter of your life . . .Well! Love you and am so proud of you. Love MOM
I’m not sure if they are supposed to be mad or sad in this picture. But Zach, you are in your typical pose. “The Thinker” Juat not quite sure what you are thinking about! Maybe getting us back for getting 2 more naked cats?
Love you baby boy, and I can’t wait to see you and hear everything about your trip! And Sherry: Thanks for relaying those messages and kisses to him. Zach can go miles and miles away and the torture will still be there! HA!
Oh, and Zach, before you hyperventilate, didn’t get the cats.
Hey all!! This is your last nite – I bet you’re tired, but happy.
Brandy – way to strike a bargain!! Can’t wait for you to get home. We miss your craziness and blonde moments!! See ya soon.
I love you, mom

Heyyyyy team! I just caught up on the past couple of posts, I’ve been so worn out from my job, that I went to bed at 10pm last night, haha. Anyways, sounds like the past couple of days have been great. I hope your last day of ministry was amazing, and that it went out with a bang! You kids are all awesome, and reading how the Lord has used you guys is just amazing. You are a great group and I am so happy that I’ve been blessed to know all of you. The relationships and the things that Christ used you for will impact these children and people for years and years to come. Once again, you’re all awesome and I am so excited to see you guys and gals tomorrow night and hear all the wonderful stories. I MISS MISS MISS MISS YOU ALL!!!!!! (: Praying for safe travels home and that all the flights and layovers go well.
Peace&Love,
Kari <3
