well hello everyone at home… we got back from our 2 day and a night with the indigenous tribe. to say the least it was amazing!!! you have to take a 2 hour boat ride to get there because the river is so low but the second boat almost took about 2 and a half hours. our boat kept getting stuck on the rocks so we had to jump out and push. the first boat got there like a half hour before us and ended up coming back to get 5 of us so the boat wasn’t to heavy. it was really hard to push because we were pushing upstream. we have some great memories to tell about it.
so we finally got there and everyone was swimming and jumping of the front of a boat that was balanced by people sitting in the back. but you had to be careful or else you would be diving onto rocks unless you jumped in where the water was like 9 feet deep. it was so nice after you were sweating trying to push a boat with like 7-8 people in it. we walked up the beach and the view was just amazing. they had built this huge hut that was used for when tourist came they could sell some of their home made things. then there was a hut where they cooked our meals in and where the girls spent the night. and scattered around was littler huts where the boys were grouped and placed. during the night the girls said that they kept hearing dogs going up and down the stairs. but we just got to know and play with the natives for the rest of the night.
this morning we got up to an amazing view and sweet smells. they made oatmeal and home made bread that we will all be missing when we get back to the states. after breakfast we packed up and hit the trails that were so narrow at times it was crazy. we had to cross the river 3 times and by the time we got to one of our locations we all pretty much had the whole beach in our shoes. but our first program went awesome. all but all the children raised their hands and wanted to accept Jesus into their hearts, so we are praying that they will continue to seek after God everyday. we had to cross back across the river and hit a school on the way back to camp. the program there was awesome too. but this time not even half the children raised their hands, and maybe it was because of their friends but we are praying that they know God and have him in their hearts. on the way back to camp on one the sections we had to cross people were able to swim downstream and make it back to the camp for lunch, while some of us hiked it back. but ended up beating them and went swimming after all. we did one last program and then headed back to the base but along the way it started raining, but not too hard. we were almost to the dock when it stopped. but it was just a fun trip.
we just say thanks to all of you who are an encouragement and for all of you who are praying for us. Thank you and we will see you on Saturday.

Dearest daughter,
Well you made it just around the riverbend…..I know that your heart is full and I am sincerely grateful for all that our
God is accomplishing with all of you as His vessels. We all know that each soul is so very precious and deserves every opportunity to know our Lord as we do.
To say that I miss you would be a understatement. My prayer is that you are happy healthy and wise…

The village sounds like it was amazing! It is one of those things you will probably never experience anything like it again as long as you live! Make sure you journal what you saw, felt, what the Lord spoke to you about… Linn and Aaron I miss you both so much!!! I can’t wait to see you on Saturday. I called Jesse tonight and he told me the rose in my birthday present WAS from Unimart! Linn you will get the funniness in that statement! LOL! He also told me he missed me, and said “I mean it Sue, I really miss you.” For our family that is HUGE! He also told me he loved me and couldn’t wait to have a special dinner on Sunday when “we all get back home”. God could be using this time apart to really bring a closeness to our blended family. And Linn with what happened with your Dad on Father’s Day, our family is building bridges across the miles. God is moving at home too! Praise God!
Make your last two days count for eternity. Be bold, be strong, don’t let your guard down. God still has a lot planned for you guys. I’m looking forward to hearing about the rally on Friday night!
And don’t forget to drink your water!
Stewy, I bet you are craving a BIG plate of pasta or a chicken parm sub from Jim and Nena’s… Well maybe not the chicken… haha!!! I’ll have the fridge stocked with Rutters Tea for you when you get home. I Love you and am so proud of you for how you allow the Lord to use you. I have always felt the Lord had a special calling on your life from the time you were four years old and said you wanted to be a missionary to Mexico. God has a plan for you in ministry for sure. Be open and quiet enough to listen to God. Shut out the noise, the other sounds at some point in your day to just be still and listen. He will tell you exactly what He has planned. Love you, momma garman (stewart)
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.”

Red & P. Jeff and Amazing Panama Team,
Wow what an amazing adventure the Lord has taken you on!! Funny how most times our future consists of what we will do next week, next month, next year, however you all are looking toward the true future for others of eternity with Christ!!! I can’t wait to hear all He has done through you!! Can’t wait for Saturday!!
Love Mom, Dad, Chris, Mike & Molly
Boy Samuel! It sounds like you’re living on a set of “Lost!” Found any hatches yet? Now you don’t have to say you haven’t done that. You can say, “wow, I’d like to go back!” Bet your Royal Rangers skills are coming in handy! We love you. As you know, Dad will be in Chicago for a few days when you get back, but we’ll go out and have a great time at a restaurant that makes you happy…probably after you take a nap, of course. We love you and are looking forward to your return to the USA. Your fans, Mom and Dad
Hey Panama Team! I am so proud of you guys and all your hard work. I can’t wait to hear about the Panama adventures. The oatmeal and homemade bread sounds so good! What a blessing of hospitality! Everyone loved your message via SKYPE last night. Thanks for setting that up, Pastor Jeff. God is doing such a great work through each one of you. Remember to journal! Your love for people and humility is so contagious. I love and miss you all. It will be great to see your beautiful faces on Saturday! Proud of you…Annie

You’re all in our thoughts and prayers!!! We are proud of all of you!!
Hey Michael, Evan & Team -
It sounds like you have had an amazing & memorable time so far. Can’t wait to hear about everything! We are still especially keeping you guys in prayer for Friday night. (Grandmom & Grandpop Linder wanted to let you know that they’re praying too. We arrived today so that we could relax before Michael & Gina’s wedding tomorrow night) I was listening to the Casting Crowns song yesterday Life of Praise, and was thinking about all of you in Panama who are living that right now – not just with your hands, but with your lives – He is Awesome, God of the Nations! I know you are being used mightily not just to reach the unsaved but also to encourage and come alongside of the missionaries down there. Can’t wait to hear everything when you get back on Saturday – okay, we’ll let you rest first, but then be ready to tell your stories! Love, Mom & Dad
Hi Lisa & Hans!
Can’t wait to see you guys! It sounds like this trip has been absolutely awesome. I am anxious to hear about all the wonderful things that God has done. He has accomplished miraculous things here on the home front also. Needless to say, God is good and His works are marvelous. I continue to pray for your safety and success (and for that of the whole team.) Love to you all —
And to my dear children — I can’t wait to hold you again!
Love — Mom
