IMG_1616Well to kick off our 6th day in Turks and Caicos, some of us morning risers went to the beach at 6:00 AM to pray and spend time with God. Soon after that, we did an assembly at a Primary School. To start it all the team members performed “Jump”, and then Kris and his gang did the doctor skit, which was hilarious. Tyler and Troy both did awesome as they shared their testimonies to the students. We didn’t have props to do “Set Me Free”, so instead Deanna’s team did “Everything”. I(Jourdan) tasted my lips after the drama and realized that they were salty from all the sweat..:)..in which Shayna made fun of. The school bell initiated that the kids had to go back to class to take exams. Some of us went to talk to 6th graders going into high school and some went to the 4 and 5 year old rooms. We prayed with the 6th graders, to stay active in Christ and not to give into temptations. The group that went to the youngins room, just played and had a good time with them.

After going to the school, we left to get lunch back at the hotel. First, we played the toothpick game in the pool where you grab the toothpick when it rises to the top of the pool. Aaron Stewart, Brooke Sheesly, and Jourdan Alioth with her inner Rich Alioth destroyed everyone else. Tucker did not stick with me there(i’m Zach). After a wonderful lunch, most of us went to the windy beach. Once everyone dribbled in from the beach, everyone galloped onto the churcheth. There we prayed for about an hour, did devotions, and worshiped. Then we hopped onto the bus to the sport center.

IMG_1878Since yesterday, the size of the attendees tripled (not doubled as previously thought. The cheerleaders pranced around. The basketballers dribbled like glamourous swans in the middle of a beautiful cliffside lake. The soccer players waddled around and kicked around balls. Each person has their own huddle groups so we can build more relationships with the young cherubs. The cheerleaders finished the basics of their routine. The soccer players did more fun drills and shot at Kris McNaney. He and Tyler Gay are doing an exquisite job in leading the young ones. The basketball players played a game. All the leaders against the kids. My (Zach) group got wrecked because the other team had a certain someone named Trevalon. This kid can play.

“I miss all of you! Miss you daddy..see you in 4 days!! Keep us in your prayers.” –Jourdan
“To my family, stay strong. It must be hard without me there. Adam, make sure to feed the naked things, in my house, poison because I don’t want to see them once I return” –Zach
“Kari Kopac! Thanks for all of your wonderful messages to all of us! I love you chica!” –Shayna

IMG_1422so kris and deanna are bloggin on this one. not dating…… last night we had some hardcore glow-in-the-dark beach frisbee, and when i say hardcore… i mean it… lyle jobe…… anyways… so this morning the team visited two elementary schools. Basically the story goes as follows: our bus driver is Hatian, not hatin’, and only speaks Creol, for real. His boss and our main trip coordinator dont speak Creol and therefore cannot communicate properly. So presents the problem of our morning… We arrived fifteen minutes late to the first school, which ended up being the completely wrong place. But despite the setbacks, we had great programs with some of the cutest kids after finding the school of correctness. A lot of our students had the chance to share their testimonies and others who have yet to share it are excited to have the opportunity to share God’s messages.

IMG_1479after this, we ended up back at the church practicing for our first Mega Sports Camp later on. during this, we blew up 1,947 soccer balls, basketballs, and cheerleading… balls? once we got everything organized, we headed up to the mega sports center. each one of us split into our groups and got to know ten to twenty kids. they had tons of energy and were very “presh”. overall, the first day of sports camp was a success :D

after a tiring day, we dribbled back and relaxed and read some of the wonderful comments you guys have been sending us. we always look forward to those at the end of the day. keep it up. on that note, leah almost threw up via the sighting of a cockroach tonight. oh and this place has lizards galore runnin around here all de time. deanna has 87 bites via the bugs and counting.

oh and by the way, i have 3 objects for you……………………

Hello all, we are officially done with spanish speaking, A-men! Today we took a few people to a Haitian church, not the whole team, just a few people to represent the team. There was about 8 of us there, we ended doing one drama for them. It was a little bit of a different feel, at this church there was no spanish speaking, it was French. Thats right, FRENCH. As a missions team we had never been to anywhere where there was French being spoken. It was an amazing service.

Then the eight of us traveled back to the hotel where we met up with the rest of the team and headed off to the English speaking, AG church for another amazing service. The worship was OUTSTANDING, and the presence of God was soooo real! The spirit was on the move, and hearts and lives were changed. The service lasted about 2 1/2 hours. At the end the presented each Father with a gift, and offered pictures for fee of the fathers and their families if you wanted. At the end of service, we were greeted by members and the elders of the church. They were so welcoming and kind hearted.

We then left to go to a member of the churches house, for a delicious chicken, rice, and vegetables lunch. Like I said… DELICIOUS! Hung out for a little and came back to the hotel, got changed then walked to the beach. IMG_1229 While we were there, we first listened to the song “Clear the Stage” then Pastor Jeff told us that we need to go to where the waves are breaking… and to write in the sand the struggles and temptations were facing. Then after that, we were supposed to back up and let the waves wash it away, signifying that God is removing these things from our lives, and that these things are not apart of us anymore. It was a great moment for myself as well as the rest of the team… We prayed afterwards, then Stew and Troy gave a devo about Perseverance and Passion.

Then we came back to the hotel got changed, then back to the beach for some midnight ultimate frisbee. We had 3 different color glowsticks each team had their own color, we had a light up frisbee, and in the dark all you could see were glowsticks flopping around with a light up frisbee soaring through the air! It was pretty awesome… But now were gonna rest up, we have a day full of school assemblies and MEGA SPORTS CAMP starts tomm! We definitely appreciate all your prayers. Even though you are thousands of miles away, you are affecting the work that God is doing here, so we Thank you for that! Have a great night everyone and God Bless!!

Shout out from Jason and Justin. Abuela – Everyone is doing very well. It is an awesome time of ministry. God is moving in mighty ways!
