We begin to say goodbye (Rachel and Corinne)Posted by Corinne in Missions, Turk & Caicos 09Greetings and salutations everyone! It’s Rachel and Corinne being the blogmasters for tonight. Today was our last day here on Provo.
Next, we got onto the bus ready to go back to the hotel, thinking we had nothing to do the rest of the day. Then we got: good, better, and best news! Better News- We were going to go out on a boat and….GO SNORKELING!!! (after the last assembly.) We went to the primary school to do the assembley and everything went great! All of dramas and skits went very smoothly.
We were on a very tight schedule and only had 20 minutes before we had to be on the bus ready to go to the sports camp. And we did it! At least we were pretty close I think. The sports camp was pretty laid back today, we just let the kids play around and we didn’t do any drills or anything. We did a couple dramas for them, which they enjoyed alot and gave out some prizes. The kids had a great time, and I think we’re all going to miss them a lot! Rachel is having trouble focusing cause its 12:36 A.M. so I think we’re gonna end this thing soon. Okay, well we haven’t even started packing yet. love,

209 kids = Pandemonium = Great Opportunity (Peter and Cherith)Posted by Peter Engle in Missions, Turk & Caicos 09Yesterday we went to three different schools. A primary christian school then we went to an international prep school which was awesome we met lots of kids from different countries like Canada and Ireland and exchanged information and facebooks. Then we came back to the hotel and ate and grabbed all our stuff and left to go to our third school of the day. It was our busiest day so far. At the third school we went to, the media was there talking about the economy of TCI. Pastor Jon was interviewed and the camera man took footage of our presentation. We were told that we were going to be on TV last night, but we did not watch long enough to see if we were. (Delia spoke at the school and she was amazing -Sam) We then went to the main church and prayed and strategize for the massive amounts of kids we were planning for. There were lots of kids(209). It went very well for the amount of kids we had and Brandy got to pray the sinners prayer with one of her kids. After packing up and cooling down, we came home and did devitions and ate dinner. Many of us went to bed early like Cherith(she went to bed at 9)(CHERITH!!!!) Some stayed up to help plan today, and a couple of people went down to the beach for some late night football. **Madge – Hi mom I love you I only got hit by a car once so I’ll never forget to look right, left, right before crossing again. But it’s okay I only broke one arm and a leg so there’s no need to worry. jk Don’t worry, we’re alive but most turned in early last night |
