Greetings and salutations everyone! It’s Rachel and Corinne being the blogmasters for tonight. Today was our last day here on Provo. :( One word can pretty much sum it all up, amazing. This morning we woke up way early and did our devos on the beach at 6 A.M. like always. Then we had fourty five minutes to eat breakfast, get ready, and be on the bus, ready to go at 7:45.

DSCF6437After we all were set and ready for the day, we headed off to our first destination, the largest high school on the island. There were several hundred teenagers at this assembly. It was their last day so they did all their presentations and then it was our turn to take the stage. We started out with Jump to get everyone pumped up. Honestly, doing that dance made us feel so small and horrible at dancing compared to the girls from the school who danced before us. We tried our best though! The next skit was “God So Loved” with team Amazing. To tell you the truth, it was pretty amazing itself. Just kidding! But it probably was the best we have done yet this week. Following that Ellie and Kris did the “Heart Skit”, the kids loved it. We also did the doctor skit and we ended with “Everything” with team Awesome. It was awesome. After we were done with the skits we invited them to ask Jesus into their hearts. There were so many hands raised! It was so cool just to see their reactions to everything we said and did, it was a great experience.

Next, we got onto the bus ready to go back to the hotel, thinking we had nothing to do the rest of the day. Then we got: good, better, and best news!
Good News- We got invited to a school who had heard about us to do a last minute assembly immediately following the previous school.

Better News- We were going to go out on a boat and….GO SNORKELING!!! (after the last assembly.)
Best News- There was a man who was a soccer coach, and was always watching us during the Mega Sports Camp. And he talked to Pastor John about helping out and being apart of what we were doing. Also, he hopes to get another camp together after we leave, and continue tying together sports and God!
We were all soooo excited to hear all this.

We went to the primary school to do the assembley and everything went great! All of dramas and skits went very smoothly.
After that we all rushed back to the hotel to get ready to go on our snorkeling trip. Then we all walked down to the beach and waited for our boat to come and get us.

DSCF6475Once it came we all got on and grabbed all our gear. flippers, goggles, the whole shahbang! They took us out to a reef where we all jumped in and explored the underwater world. It was so cool. We saw so many types of fish and coral. Many of us even dived down to the bottom to touch things down there. For alot of us, it was our first time snorkeling and it was amazing! After awhile they called us in and gave us snacks and drinks. Then they took us to another spot and we looked around there for a little bit. The best part was saved for last. They took us to this one spot on the island that was uninhabited and had a lot of coral and rock. On the island were these rocky cliff type things and they were covered top to bottom in conch shells! It was an awesome sight. We all pretty much freaked out because we were so excited. After pictures and searching for just the right shell we headed back to the hotel. The boat ride/snorkeling trip was definitely one of the highlights of the day.

We were on a very tight schedule and only had 20 minutes before we had to be on the bus ready to go to the sports camp. And we did it! At least we were pretty close I think. The sports camp was pretty laid back today, we just let the kids play around and we didn’t do any drills or anything. We did a couple dramas for them, which they enjoyed alot and gave out some prizes. The kids had a great time, and I think we’re all going to miss them a lot!

Rachel is having trouble focusing cause its 12:36 A.M. so I think we’re gonna end this thing soon.
This trip has been life changing for all of us. And to think that we are leaving tomorrow is a bittersweet kind of feeling. This island has made an impact on all our lives and God used us in such amazing ways. We will miss it so much!

Okay, well we haven’t even started packing yet.
Time to get this show on the road.
See you all in about 24 hours-ish!

IMG_2156Hey it’s Leah and Ellie blogging tonight! This morning a couple of us got up at 6 AM to go to the beach. I still can’t believe how God created such beautiful things. We all ate breakfast and headed out around 8 AM to a Christian school for younger kids. They’re the cutest things in the whole entire world. After that we took a while to go souvenir shopping! Let me just say, it’s hard to pick out things in order for people to like it. And bargaining is very difficult for some people and very hilarious for other people. haha. Words coming from Brandy, “first you have to make them laugh, then you have to be nice, then you have to act like you want it reallllly bad, then you have to say you still need money for lunch or you have to support your family and finally you say your walking away.”

IMG_2182It was extremely hot so the air conditioned bus felt so good! So after shopping we had about 3 hours to just hang out and eat. We had some pizza and then went to the beach for most likely the last time. When we went to the beach Rachel thought she saw a shark so she screamed but it turned out there were 2 dolphins! Pastor John followed them and pet one’s belly but then it bit him and he flipped out. The dolphin’s name was JoJo and the natives know him for acting like he wants to be pet and then biting tourists. Most of us looked like lobsters from all the sun we got today. Especially P. John and Troy but Leah didn’t at all! Next we went to the Sports Camp to set up. We had a little less kids then yesterday but it’s only because they had graduation today and the there were bus problems. Everything was a lot more organized today and we did a couple dramas for them. We ate dinner on the field and tragically found out the Michael Jackson died today and Jason Jobe was and still is very depressed and needs Devin to comfort him in his time of need. Speaking of the Jobe’s, they’re anniversary is today! So happy anniversary to them.

IMG_2234We were all real tired but we still had another service to do. This church was outside in a parking lot but the area doesn’t matter because these people were excited for God and you could just feel His presence there. It was a good and powerful service and we all prayed for each other. It was awesome.

Finally we headed back to the hotel and now I’m here blogging with Ellie! Tomorrow’s going to be a good day. It’s our last ministry day and our last day of Sports Camp also. It’s going to be sad to say goodbye but I think we left hope with them and Jesus will stay with them. Keep praying for us and that’ll be enough. We’ll be back soon! We love all you guys so much!

Much love,
Leah and Ellie

Now I’m done. haha!

Yesterday we went to three different schools. A primary christian school then we went to an international prep school which was awesome we met lots of kids from different countries like Canada and Ireland and exchanged information and facebooks. Then we came back to the hotel and ate and grabbed all our stuff and left to go to our third school of the day. It was our busiest day so far. At the third school we went to, the media was there talking about the economy of TCI. Pastor Jon was interviewed and the camera man took footage of our presentation. We were told that we were going to be on TV last night, but we did not watch long enough to see if we were. (Delia spoke at the school and she was amazing -Sam)

We then went to the main church and prayed and strategize for the massive amounts of kids we were planning for. There were lots of kids(209). It went very well for the amount of kids we had and Brandy got to pray the sinners prayer with one of her kids. After packing up and cooling down, we came home and did devitions and ate dinner. Many of us went to bed early like Cherith(she went to bed at 9)(CHERITH!!!!) Some stayed up to help plan today, and a couple of people went down to the beach for some late night football.

**Madge – Hi mom I love you I only got hit by a car once so I’ll never forget to look right, left, right before crossing again. But it’s okay I only broke one arm and a leg so there’s no need to worry. jk
**Cherith – Hey Bonnie! we found starfish and they really love you.
**Peter – hey joey bear i love you
