The first day of J-Jam was soooo gooood! Many kids showed up excited to play some intense games. First we split up into our teams: Maieusiophobia (fear of childbirth, and simply the best team, but then again I might be biased), Taphepediophobia (fear of being buried alive by dolls), Phagophobia (fear of being eaten), and Dutchphobia (fear of the Dutch).
Next, each team took turns swinging at the pinata. Once it broke open, candy and balloons rained onto the carpet. Each team had to grab balloons and pop them for points. Phagopobia dominated at that and had three balloons.
After that, the J-Jammers played a new game called Electricity. They had to stand in a line and once they saw that the coin the ref flipped was on heads, they had to squeeze each others hands until it got to the last person in line. Then either Sophie or Austin would run to grab the cone off the chair.
The last game was the most competitive of all. We played steal the bacon, a J-Jam favorite, featuring car tires, beach balls, and noodles. Luckily no one got seriously injured.
To close us out Pastor Jeff talked to us about fears and how we shouldn’t be afraid to show people Christ in our schools. He also mentioned that See You at the Pole was today. I hope you guys were able to make it!
Hope to see you guys next Tuesday! Don’t forget to wear your team colors for team spirit day, and check back tomorrow for the trivia question. Whoever gets the answer in first gets extra points for his or her team!
Now for the points total:
First: Phagophobia 233,000 pts
Second: Dutchphobia 229,000 pts
Third: Maieusiophobia 210,000 pts
Fourth: Taphepediophobia 205,000 pts

Then we played Dr. Dodgeball, the game was pretty intense and the doctors and medics had their work cut out for them with the amount of people who were hit. We then headed to the youth center to party hat joust. P. Jon Coad gave the devotion on compassion, after his devotion there was a magnificent performance of a scene from Star Wars in which compassion was portrayed.

You can only find excitment like this at JJAM. This past JJAM was animal day and it was a blast. We even had one kid come in as a green T-Rex. We began the day with a great game of Octupus followed by an intense time of dodgeball where each team had one person who was “it.” This added a lot of strategy and made for a great time. Then, up in the youth center, Pastor Jon showed off some of his unique skills when he taught us how to do cup-stacking. The day proceded with Mia giving a challenging devo on sacrifice and what it means to live a sacrificial life. Finally, we ended with an interesting gross out game, made up by Pastor Jon, where the students attempted to hold in the foam and gas being created when alka-seltzer and sprite mix.Cant wait to see you next week for star wars day!

This week at J-Jam we went outside and played a great game of Kickball. Then we played a game of Earthball volleyball. It was splendid! A lot of it was a battle between McFlurry Fury and Double Cheesey Beef Burrito. Then we went onto a game, where we froze a piece of a straw and a paper clip in a cup, and we had to melt the ice to get the things out of it. It was FREEZING! The devotion on Leadership was brought to us by Erica Eschbach and Chelsea Marshall. Ending J-Jam with the gross out game, we had to dip our hands into a fish tank and pull out gold fish and other objects in the bottom of the tank. And thats the J-Jam recap for the week. This week is Animal Day!

2nd – DC Beef Buritto: 960,000

However, there are many weeks of J-Jam left, and every team has a shot at winning it all. Next weeks’ Spirit Day is TWIN DAY! Your team will get bonus points for dressing up like someone else. This past weeks J Jam was awesome. We started off with a J Jam favorite of Octopus followed by an intense game of dodgeball. The games were heated, but Team Ten Piece came out of them with a ton of extra bonus points for knocking out key players of the games. We then moved on to our Sanctuary games of cinderella shoes and the 3-legged race. After that, Chris McNaney delivered his devotional on what true worship is. He had us ponder what true worship really is. Worship is not just singing songs to God. It is devoting your life to his purposes. Finally, the night ended with a great gross out game where Team Whopper’s JJ led the team to a quick victory by shoving his face into the baked bean and pretzel mixture.
We hope to all see you next week. Remember…. BRING YOUR FRIENDS!!!

To start out our second week of j-jam we played an intense game of kickball. Ashton was pretty awesome at the game. Then we played a few rounds of dodgeball. After our gym/jim games we headed up to the youth center for some exciting rounds of bulletin skiing, but this was no ordinary bulletin skiing, this round of bulletin skiing was in a large oval, which proved to be very challenging for some teams. After the game,Pastor Jan came to share the devotion on how God never changes. After the devotion we played the final game of the day, the gross out game. For this gross out challenge the students had to consume 10 pickles soaked in honey.

2nd- Ten Piece - 274,500
3rd- McFlurry Fury – 264,500
