This week at J-Jam we started the day playing a fun game of octopus! After that we played Doctor dodgeball. Each team had two doctors and a nurse. If you got out, you would have to sit on the ground and wait for a nurse to drag you to the doctor who could heal you. The next game we played was an all time favorite. Amazon women!!! Next week is facepaint day! Don’t forget to bring friends!!

Here are the scores:
1st place- Mushu with 462,000 points

This past Tuesday was the first J-Jam of the semester! J-Jam is an after school program meant for kids grades 6-8th filled with games other activities. This past Tuesday we played capture the flag, dragon dodge ball and a gross game called egg roulette. Don’t know what dragon dodgeball is? Don’t know what egg roulette is? Come out to J-Jam and find out! It’s every Tuesday 3:30 to 5pm, we have drivers that can pick kids up from the majority of schools in the area.

Check if your school has a pick up driver and RSVP with your school’s driver!  Go to Calendar & Events – Fusion J-Jam.

If you have any questions you can call Hannah Ito at 717-635-7230.

See you on Tuesday!

  This Tuesday was Foreign Day at J-jam!  Many Jjammers displayed their culturalness (is that a word?) by dressing up in various costumes.

  We started off with a game of Mattball, which is similar to kickball with a few adjustments.  Then we played a few rounds of dodgeball.  The best part was when the guy leaders had to play with their eyes closed!  Zach Ferguson just sat with girls surrounding him.  Devin Wislocky held on to Chelsea, but when she walked away he was totally helpless.  Aaron Stewart on the other  hand was still getting people out with his eyes closed!  It was probably the most hilarious game of dodgeball ever played.
      After that we headed back to the sanctuary to play a more intellectual game.  Flags of different countries were put on the screens and the teams had to quickly come up with which country the flag belonged to.
      Then Shayna did a devo on love and we broke up into our teams to talk about what that means.
     In honor of Foreign Day, the gross out game involved devouring Vienna Sausages and Potted Meat.  Yum!

     Stewy set the bar for next week: Superhero Day!
However, this may be the best superhero ever:

Quailman is definitely awesome.
Anyway, here are your scores…
1st place    My Little Ponies   593,000 pts
2nd place  Tickle Me Elmos   584,000 pts
3rd place   Furbie                    486,000 pts
4th place   Tamagotchi           394,000 pts

Trivia Question for extra points:
What show was Quailman from and what was his best friend’s name?

See y’all next week =]

  Jjam was kicked off with an intense game of Round ‘Em Up.  The girls were able to show their incredible strength by dragging guys from the center of the sanctuary to their team’s corner.  It later turned into a game of Amazon Women, a Jjam favorite.
    After that, a new game was brought to us by team Tamagotchi called Sombrero Frisbee.  In this unique game each team got in a circle around a water jug with a pool noodle in the center.  A rubber glove sat on top of the noodle.  At the start of the music the team passed a bowling pin around the circle like the game Hot Potato.  When the music stopped whoever had the bowling pin had to throw the sombrero at the noodle to knock the glove off of it.  If a person missed they were out.  It sounds more complicated to read about than to play I’m realizing.  Anyway, it was pretty fun.
    Next we played the Bucket Game.  Let’s just say that some Jjammers’ arms probably hurt really bad the next day.
     Soon after Mason did a devo on worship and we broke up into our teams to talk about what that really means.
    For the gross out game we had some SPICY SPICY Chili.  However, the middle schoolers who were brave enough to try some seemed to have no problem scarfing it down.
     Many Jjammers dressed up for the occasion of Western Day.  Katie’s horse was quite impressive.  Next week is FOREIGN DAY! So wear your sombreros, or kimonos or whatever foreign clothing you have for Tuesday!

   Now your trivia question for extra points:
Name six of the seven countries that end with “stan”.

If you are bored and want to watch an insane video of Chandelle and me making SPICY SPICY Chili then click on the link below.
*Disclaimer.  This video involves spicy things, randomness,  really bad British and Western accents, and Jjammer/Mason interruptions!

sooooo.

jjam is officially over for the season.

for the last week, we played a brand new game… an awesome one at that. it’s called Ninja. or Kungfu. you start by bowing to your competitors and assuming the position.

ninja

besides that, the game is hard to explain. you pretty much have to learn by playing. sorryaboutthat.

however,  it’s still the most epic thing ever.

OHHHH. it was ghetto day too. so we had a lot of gangsters roaming around. swag and all. [:

overall, it was a great day and fantastic season!

TEAM PHAGOPHOBIA WON! way to be! this means you get to attend the party for free. It’s next tuesday, the 8th, at fountain blue skating rink. be there. or be square.

we hope to see you all come out again next semester! it starts up in the spring again!

J-jam on Tuesday kicked off with a brand new game.  It was steal the bacon with a new twist!  Once a person’s number was called he or she had to sprint to the center, grab a fluffy pillow and smack the other person.  The first person to hit the other person won!  After a few rounds of that we played traditional steal the bacon with noodles, pillows, a beach ball, and an inner tube.  Then we got into our groups to play a Disney movie trivia game.  For this game, random audio from various Disney movies from The Little Mermaid to Pirates of the Caribbean were played and the J-jamers had to run to Mike and Deanna to give them the answers.  Then Cherith and I did a devo on Being Grateful.  After that we had an intense gross out game.  This time nothing had to be eaten (although with the materials, I’m sure many would have loved that!).  Instead each team chose one person and the teams had two minutes to put as many oreos on that person’s face as possible.  Peanut butter was used as adhesive.  Brielle was a beautiful sticky mess, as were the others.

Well I hope you guys had fun this week!  Next week is Crazy Hair Day!  Make sure you come (because your team will lose points if you don’t! and you will miss out on tons of fun)!  Also, bring your friends!  Your teams get mega points for bringing new people and we only have a few more weeks so every point counts!

Now to what you all have been waiting for…

Scores:

Dutch = 841,000

Phag = 841,000

Taph = 815,000

Maieusio = 794,000

jjam3jjam was interesting as usual.

we began with a rousing game of pillow summo wrestling then moved onto an alltime favorite: Amazon Women.

Next were the Manly Makeovers… our guys not only had to be made-up with lipstick and all, but we made them take the model’s walk of shame. they posed for us and all :] it was quite entertaining.

The devo was on forgivness and then we moved right into our gross-out. We had the kids eat bananas and plantains with thier faces. mwwwahhahha! too bad its swine season…well on the other hand we did have hand sanitizer there waiting for them. that makes up for it, right?

next week is Hillbilly Day! dont be afraid to go all out :)

your trivia question is: What is another name for a hillbilly? its an easy answer, dont think that hard into it…

have a good week everyone!
