So Tuesday was Star Wars day, there were some awesome costumes and many light sabors. First, we went to the gym to play mat ball, team Double Cheesy Beef Burrito was amazing at that. Then we played Dr. Dodgeball, the game was pretty intense and the doctors and medics had their work cut out for them with the amount of people who were hit. We then headed to the youth center to party hat joust. P. Jon Coad gave the devotion on compassion, after his devotion there was a magnificent performance of a scene from Star Wars in which compassion was portrayed.
1st- McFlurry Fury 1,512,500
2nd- Double Cheesy Beef Burrito 1,388,500
3rd- Whopper 1,267,500

So yesterday was Hillbilly day at j-jam, it was an exciting day full of funny looking/sounding people and mexican lumberjacks. To start out the day we played a few rounds of kill the cone which Team 10 piece dominated. We then played basdodgeketball which is a mix of basketball and dodgeball thank you Eric Stump. After our jim/gym games we headed up to the youth center for some exciting sack races. After a great devo given by Starner we had some amazing hillbilly stew (chunky soup, cheese itz, oreos, and junior mints).

On Wednesday night P. Jeff talked about evaluating your life and allowing God to take control rather than allowing the world. He spoke about how after we allow God to take over our lives we need to live different and take a stand for God. He spoke about doing hard things now, not just when we are older, and conquering sins in our lives now and not just expecting them to disappear as we get older.

To start out our second week of j-jam we played an intense game of kickball. Ashton was pretty awesome at the game. Then we played a few rounds of dodgeball. After our gym/jim games we headed up to the youth center for some exciting rounds of bulletin skiing, but this was no ordinary bulletin skiing, this round of bulletin skiing was in a large oval, which proved to be very challenging for some teams. After the game,Pastor Jan came to share the devotion on how God never changes. After the devotion we played the final game of the day, the gross out game. For this gross out challenge the students had to consume 10 pickles soaked in honey.
Here are the team totals so far
1st- Double Cheesy Beef Burritos – 284,000
2nd- Ten Piece - 274,500
3rd- McFlurry Fury – 264,500
4th- Whopper – 255,000

So yesterday at J-jam was Steve Urkel/nerd day which was most amusing. To start off the day, we went down to the gym (or jim depending on how you like to spell) to play the cone game, a J-Jam classic. Then we played a new game called dragon dodgeball. The students had to hold onto each other to form a dragon while the rest of the students had to throw dodgeballs at the tail of the dragon to get them out. After dodgeball, we went up to the Youth Center to play probably the most creative game in the history of J-Jam. Students were blindfolded and led through an obstacle course by another student. The gross out game was pretty gross, the students had to drink hotdogs in smoothie form, which looked and smelled pretty bad.
Point totals:
1st place Tibiofibula – 1,070,500
2nd place Jugular – 1,021,500
3rd place Metacarpal – 1,007,000
4th place Iliac – 966,500

We started J-Jam off by playing doctor dodgeball, team Jugular and Tibiofibula were pretty awesome at that game. After a few rounds of dodgeball we headed up to the youth center for a wheelbarrow race. For the wheelbarrow race the students had to pick up various items off the floor to get points for their team. Aaron Stewart gave a devotion about peer pressure and then the teams broke up into small groups to answer some questions about the devotion. After the devotion we had the gross out game – mystery grenades. At the core of the grenades were 5 fruit wise/smack/slaps bunched up into one, then wrapped in plastic wrap and inside two balloons. The students first needed to unwrap the ballons, then the plastic wrap and then eat the fruit wise/smack/slaps.
The overall team scores:
1st Tibiofibula – 639,000
2nd Jugular – 598,500
3rd Metacarpal – 583,500
4th Iliac – 569,000

This Wednesday night we had an awesome service. Pastor Jeff put an emphasis on reaching out to our schools and praying for our unsaved friends. At the end of service each of the schools were able to come together and pray with each other. It was such an encouraging time of prayer just being able to hear people’s hearts for their schools and seeing the burden and desire they had to reach them.
